Job description

Web Developer's role is focused on developing and implementing new feature functions to support the lifecycle of the authored scientific content (such as manuscripts) and maintenance and refactoring of already implemented user-facing functionality. Additionally, the Web Developer role owns implementation of a separate marketing website project, a single page front-end application fully decoupled from the back-end with API management components. It is a highly challenging and exciting opportunity for a Web Developer to extend professional skill set toward full-stack development with key elements of SEO implementation.

• Writing clean, efficient code
• Create and maintain software documentation
• Integrate data from various back-end services and databases
• Implementing contingency plans in case the website goes down
• Stay plugged into emerging technologies/industry trends and apply them into operations and activities
• Internal service desk tasks
• Communicate professionally with diverse group stakeholders on topics related to own tasks

Qualifications:

• BSc or MSc level in Computer science or similar
• 3+ years of experience
• Great knowledge of javascript frameworks (Vue.js)
• Basic knowledge of backend technologies (PHP, MySQL)
• Experience with Salesforce CRM, Node.js, GraphQL, SCSS will be considered as an advantage
• A solid understanding of how web applications work including security, session management, and best development practices
• Curious, proactive and eager to learn new technologies
• Fluent in English, both spoken and written
• Enjoying teamwork and interaction with different stakeholders
